The Pastel de Nata from the heart of Baixa

History tastes of Pastel de Nata on Rua Augusta.

Rua Augusta is the heart of Lisbon’s Baixa district. Its wide sidewalk is home to some of the most remarkable buildings in Lisbon’s history, from the Roman baths to the Pombaline reconstruction.

The Manteigaria of Rua Augusta has one of the most beautiful facades you will ever see. Inside, we have preserved some details of the original space, which belonged to Camisaria Pitta from 1903 to 2018, to maintain the history and class of this place.

Where once custom-made clothing was crafted with passion, artistry, and mastery, now they make Pastel de Nata, satisfying the desires of those who pass by. Also made in an artisanal way.

One of the best pastéis de nata I've ever tasted, perhaps the best so far! I've tried many, but none worth recommending until this one. Mr. Bruno was very welcoming and shared the story behind this traditional pastry. In my opinion, if you visit Lisbon, you have to try this place and eat it immediately to fully enjoy the experience. Highly recommended.

The best Pastel de Nata I've ever eaten in my life!! It's totally worth it, it's extremely delicious, especially if you add the cinnamon. And it's great because you can watch them preparing the pastries there.

If you're in Lisbon, you can't miss one of the best pastéis de nata we've ever tasted. A fantastic experience, the staff are very welcoming, and you can enjoy the warm pastéis while watching the making process in the shop. I highly recommend it, as it's a local delicacy.

In my opinion, the best Pastel de Nata I've ever had. The pastry was crispy, while the custard was sweet and smooth. It truly harmonizes in my mouth. I will definitely return.
