MANTEIGARIA
Portas do Sol
Pastel de Nata in hand, Lisbon at your feet
The heart of Alfama beats stronger to the taste of Pastel de Nata with the best view of the city.
At Miradouro das Portas do Sol, the Pastel de Nata is already part of the landscape. The toasted yellow cream, wrapped in a perfectly melting crisp pastry, evokes the late afternoon light that illuminates the city. Whether on the way to the Castle, in between photos to share on the spot and remember later, or during a break after climbing through Alfama, Manteigaria Portas do Sol is a must-stop for anyone visiting the neighborhood. And for those who live here.
Here, the Pastel de Nata tastes of Lisbon, of home, of sunshine and light. It’s the perfect snack for locals, a flavor that brings together neighbors, travelers, and those who come specifically to taste it fresh from the oven. A sweet moment in the heart of the old city. So good, in fact, that some even forget about the view.
