MANTEIGARIA
CHIADO
The first Manteigaria factory
Our first factory was established in Chiado, in the historic space that housed the headquarters of “Manteigaria União,” the cooperative that sold butter throughout the capital.
We preserved the Art Nouveau style of this building, constructed in 1900, as well as the original name on the facade. Butter is such a fundamental ingredient in our Pastel de Nata recipe that we named our brand “Manteigaria”, in homage to the tradition of this place.
How to get to Chiado’s Manteigaria
What to do in Chiado while you eat our Pastel de Nata?
Largo do Camões is one of Lisbon’s most authentic and vibrant spots, with countless points of interest nearby. Explore the Chiado shopping district or stroll down Rua do Alecrim to Cais do Sodré.
Get together with friends and grab a dozen Pastéis de Nata for an afternoon overlooking the river at Miradouro do Adamastor. Or linger inside the shop and watch the next batch being made.
