A pastel de nata and a quick chat in a neighborhood full of soul.

Campo de Ourique is a neighborhood where everything happens at the right pace. Here, the routines of Lisbon residents unfold in cafes full of conversations, in the neighborhood shops, and in a garden that invites you to linger and listen to the birds singing.

Amidst this landscape of buildings decorated with colorful tiles and mosaics, there’s a must-visit spot for Pastel de Nata lovers: Manteigaria. Enjoy it at the counter, take it with you on a stroll, or share it with someone waiting at home.

How to get to the Manteigaria de Campo de Ourique

What to do in Campo de Ourique while you eat our Pastel de Nata?

Right across from our terrace is the Jardim da Parada (officially, Jardim Teófilo Braga), a meeting point for neighborhood residents on sunny days. Despite being a residential area, Campo de Ourique has many attractions for those who aren’t from the neighborhood.

  • The Mercado de Campo de Ourique is home to around 20 modern taverns where, in addition to typical food from various origins, there is always guaranteed entertainment.
  • This wide variety of offerings would please the poet of multiple heteronyms. The Casa Fernando Pessoa is less than a 5-minute walk from here.
  • A little further away is the Igreja do Santo Condestável, one of the most beautiful modern-style churches in Lisbon.
  • The small bookstores and traditional shops, along with the relaxed pace of this residential area, make Campo de Ourique a very special neighborhood.

Simply the best pastéis de nata. Don't forget to add a pinch of cinnamon and enjoy! There are no tables available, but you can sit on the bench outside.

I just tried a pastel de nata for the first time, and for me, Christmas has already begun. What a wonderful and delicious experience! Great place to go!

Excellent, excellent, excellent! The best Pastel de Nada I've ever had in Lisbon! The pastry isn't greasy (as is often the case elsewhere) and the cream is delicious! Pure bliss!
