MANTEIGARIA
Braga
The golden temptation of the city of Braga
Braga is a city full of history and tradition, where the most traditional sweet of all could not be missing. Among the flowers of Avenida da Liberdade and the neoclassical or Art Deco buildings, here the Pastel de Nata melts in your mouth while you watch it being made. Golden or more toasted, but made with love and dedication, the Pastel de Nata is a temptation that the people of Braga cannot resist.
How to get to Bragas’ Manteigaria
Avenida da Liberdade is in the city center. Since it’s pedestrianized, you have to walk to Manteigaria. There are several buses to this area, stopping at Avenida Central further up and Rua do Raio further down. If you come by train, it’s a 15-minute walk, mostly through the historic center. In fact, Braga is a city that’s easily explored on foot or by bicycle. Mark Manteigaria on Avenida da Liberdade as a reference point and plan your route from there.
